Thanksgiving with the Family

Cort and I's very first Thanksgiving together! It was quite the weekend. For Thanksgiving day we went to his family's house. It was seriously one of the most delicious Thanksgiving meals I've ever had. Sorry Mom. Also it was extra appreciated because last Thanksgiving I spent my holiday at an American food restaurant in China, eating a spicy chicken sandwich and some french fries. This year definitely made up for it in deliciousness thanks to Julie and Todd.

On Friday we drove to Utah to see my family!! And I got to see our new nephew, baby Kellen! The cutest little baby ever. I was waiting so long to kiss his face! Well only a couple weeks, but still it was hard to wait.
We had so much fun with my family, and can't wait to go home for Christmas!

After spending time with my family, Cort and I were so happy to see his Dad, who was visiting from LA. We went out to lunch with him, Cort's grandma, and great aunt and uncle. We also got to take him to the movies and to the mall. It was so much fun, and we can't wait until the next time we can see him!

Hello Seattle

I officially love Washington.
Why?
Because it has an awesome fair, blackberry picking, Cort's grandma and all his many cousins, and it has Seattle. We had an amazing trip.

zucchini anyone?

Cort and I have had a wonderful week, and we've cooked a pretty fun meal everyday this week. On Sunday a couple from our new ward came over bringing us a huge zucchini from their garden as a "welcome to the ward" gift. So Cort and I found different recipes so we can use up this delicious gift!
Tuesday we made Lemon Zucchini Fettuccine.
On Wednesday, we made no zucchini related dish, surprisingly. We did however make homemade pizza! We got a pizza stone as a wedding gift, and we've put it to good use. A little pepperoni, and green pepper pizza.

Thursday we went zucchini crazy and made grilled stuffed zucchini.
I felt so healthy.

Finally, today was Friday and I made my sister Nichole's Minestrone soup. Nichole's Blog
I remembered when I visited her one time she made it and it was my favorite meals of hers. Also it just so happened that Cort's grandma surprised us and came last night. We had the family over and the soup was great.
Picture from Nicole's blog.

After the soup we had homemade mint and chocolate chip ice cream that Cort made! It was the bomb.

our wedding

Cort and I's wedding day was so incredibly perfect. It was almost three weeks ago, so it's about time we're posting some pictures. Just some details about the wedding. We were sealed for time and all eternity in the Sacramento LDS temple. The day of the wedding was the best day of my life. Cort and I were so happy to be married, and be able experience the day with family and friends. Our reception was the next day. We had it at night, by the lake, and the weather was perfect. We had music and dancing, and all the bridesmaids and groomsmen, and even Cort jumped in the pool in the end. It was definitely the best party I've ever been to. My aunt Annette was our photographer. Check out her blog  at www.littlegemsphoto.blogspot.com.

My sisters Jordan and Sheridan sang us "Can't Help Falling in Love" for our first dance. Since Cort was convinced "Teenage Dream" -not so lovey Katy Perry song- was our song, I was glad to have my sisters step in to play us some real music.

Of course Cort doesn't have his shirt on. It's kinda his thing.
He had jumped in the pool, in his suit.
